An Israel Experience is a unique kind of Jewish education that contributes to the formation of positive attitudes and behaviors through experiential learning. Young people who have participated in Israel Experiences regard their time in Israel as one of the most positive Jewish moments and memories in their lives. Research indicates that there is a significant link between adult Jewish identity and participation in an Israel experience.

The Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley’s (JFLV) VISIT Israel Savings Partnership enables Lehigh Valley teens and young adults to participate in an Israel Experience as part of their Jewish education. Each year, participating families contribute at least $300 into the VISIT savings account to be matched with $200 from the JFLV for a maximum of eight years. Students who participate in the program for the full eight years will have at least $4,000 available, plus interest, to meet the cost of an approved Israel trip.
